Bandung 2007

Ibu, Ayah and Amin went to Bandung on Sept 5 - 8. We didn't take Ammar since he's too small (7 months) and Ibu planned to go shopping. It would be difficult to handle 2 small kids and shopping..  Sorry dear, Ibu will bring you some other time ok.
We flew in to Jakarta first. This was Amin's first trip taking KLIA express and flight. He was very excited sitting on the fast train, but not so much on the plane. I think he didn't know that he's actually inside the plane. He couldn't feel the plane move and couldn't see anything outside, so he was a bit bored.
When we arrived JKT, it was almost 6pm and it was getting dark, so we checked in at the hotel and got a rest. BTW, the traffic was terrible. Traffic in KL pratically is nothing to them.
Unfortunately, that night Amin started to have a fever and cold. The next day before we started our journey to Bandung, we stopped by at pharmacy and got some cold medicine and panadol. Amin was sick all the time we were in Bandung, so he was very moody and clingy to me. In the end, I didn't get to do much shopping. Ayah was the one who got to do a LOT of shopping... Ish,jealous  I didn't get any pictures while we were in Bandung.

Ammar Hospitalized 23 - 25 August, 2007
|
|
Ammar started coughing badly a week earlier and had a fever on Saturday, but only for one day. His cough was getting better after giving some medication. But then on Tuesday night, he started to have fever again and his cough was getting worse. Went for checkup at Klinik Pakar Kanak2 Seri Sai at Tmn Melawati on Wednesday and had an x-ray on Thursday morning at Damai Melawati. Doc confirmed there was an inflamed so we took Ammar to Ampang Putri Hospital and went to see Dr. Lim. He warded Ammar later that Thursday afternoon until Saturday morning. He had to take nebulizer every 4 hours and had a fisiotherapy 3 times. I think the fisiotherapy gave him a bit of trauma.
Now he's a bit better. Still a bit of cough but not much mucus anymore, so he's on the way to recovery. And now he can throw his BIG smile

Amin's 2nd Birthday Party was held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Sri Ayu Apartment Clubhouse from 3pm - 6pm.

Amin's Birthday Dinner

|
Last night Ibu and Ayah took Amin to Alexis at Great Eastern Mall for his birthday dinner. We ordered him Spaghetti, Ayah got his Duck confit and Ibu had Chicken and mushroom pie. The spaghetti and duck confit were delicious (except the confit a bit salty), but the pie was a bit off. Amin had a little bit of the spaghetti but Ibu finished the rest
After dinner, he ran here and there and finally we got him to sit down for his birthday cake. We ordered Choc Moist and it was superb. Amin blew the candles 5 times before we could eat the delicious cake. His version of birthday song: 'Besday... besday... '

Amin Turns 2 Today!

My dear Amin, Ibu would like to wish you Happy 2nd Birthday. Love you so much. Please read the following verse from Quran: Luqman 13 - 19. This is my prayer to you.
BAHASA MALAYSIA
[13] Dan (ingatlah) ketika Luqman berkata kepada anaknya, semasa dia memberi nasihat kepadanya: Wahai anak kesayanganku, janganlah engkau mempersekutukan Allah (dengan sesuatu yang lain), sesungguhnya perbuatan syirik itu adalah satu kezaliman yang besar.
[14] Dan Kami wajibkan manusia berbuat baik kepada kedua ibu bapanya; ibunya telah mengandungnya dengan menanggung kelemahan demi kelemahan (dari awal mengandung hingga akhir menyusunya) dan tempoh menceraikan susunya ialah dalam masa dua tahun; (dengan yang demikian) bersyukurlah kepadaKu dan kepada kedua ibubapamu; dan (ingatlah), kepada Akulah jua tempat kembali (untuk menerima balasan).
[15] Dan jika mereka berdua mendesakmu supaya engkau mempersekutukan denganKu sesuatu yang engkau dengan fikiran sihatmu tidak mengetahui sungguhnya janganlah engkau taat kepada mereka dan bergaullah dengan mereka di dunia dengan cara yang baik dan turutlah jalan orang-orang yang rujuk kembali kepadaKu (dengan tauhid dan amal-amal yang soleh). Kemudian kepada Akulah tempat kembali kamu semuanya, maka Aku akan menerangkan kepada kamu segala yang kamu telah kerjakan.
[16] (Luqman menasihati anaknya dengan berkata): Wahai anak kesayanganku, sesungguhnya jika ada sesuatu perkara (yang baik atau yang buruk) sekalipun seberat bijih sawi serta ia tersembunyi di dalam batu besar atau di langit atau pun di bumi, sudah tetap akan dibawa oleh Allah (untuk dihakimi dan dibalasNya); kerana sesungguhnya Allah Maha Halus pengetahuanNya; lagi Amat Meliputi akan segala yang tersembunyi.
[17] Wahai anak kesayanganku, dirikanlah sembahyang dan suruhlah berbuat kebaikan, serta laranglah daripada melakukan perbuatan yang mungkar dan bersabarlah atas segala bala bencana yang menimpamu. Sesungguhnya yang demikian itu adalah dari perkara-perkara yang dikehendaki diambil berat melakukannya.
[18] Dan janganlah engkau memalingkan mukamu (kerana memandang rendah) kepada manusia, dan janganlah engkau berjalan di bumi dengan berlagak sombong; sesungguhnya Allah tidak suka kepada tiap-tiap orang yang sombong takbur, lagi membanggakan diri.
[19] Dan sederhanakanlah langkahmu semasa berjalan, juga rendahkanlah suaramu (semasa berkata-kata), sesungguhnya seburuk-buruk suara ialah suara keldai.
ENGLISH
[13] Behold, Luqman said to his son by way of instruction: "O my son! Join not in worship (others) with Allah: for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing."
[14] And We have enjoined on man (To be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.
[15] "But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (And consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to Me (in love). In the End the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you the truth (and meaning) of all that ye did."
[16] "O my son!" (said Luqman), "If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (any where) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah understands the finest mysteries, (and) is well-acquainted (with them).
[17] "O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong; and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.
[18] "And swell not thy cheek (For pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth: for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.
[19] "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass."

[13] Et lorsque Louqmân dit à son fils tout en l'exhortant: "ش mon fils, ne donne pas d'associé à Allah, car l'association à (Allah) est vraiment une injustice énorme."
[14] Nous avons commandé à l'homme (la bienfaisance envers) ses père et mère; sa mère l'a porté (subissant pour lui) peine sur peine: son sevrage a lieu à deux ans. "Sois reconnaissant envers Moi ainsi qu'envers tes parents. Vers Moi est la destination.
[15] Et si tous deux te forcent à M'associer ce dont tu n'as aucune connaissance, alors ne leur obéis pas; mais reste avec eux ici-bas de façon convenable. Et suis le sentier de celui qui se tourne vers Moi. Vers Moi, ensuite, est votre retour, et alors Je vous informerai de ce que vous faisiez ".
[16] "ش mon enfant, fût-ce le poids d'un grain de moutarde, au fond d'un rocher, ou dans les cieux ou dans la terre, Allah le fera venir. Allah est infiniment Doux et Parfaitement Connaisseur.
[17] ش mon enfant accomplis la Salâ, commande le convenable, interdis le blâmable et endure ce qui t'arrive avec patience. Telle est la résolution à prendre dans toute entreprise!
[18] Et ne détourne pas ton visage des hommes, et ne foule pas la terre avec arrogance: car Allah n'aime pas le présomptueux plein de gloriole.
[19] Sois modeste dans ta démarche, et baisse ta voix, car la plus détestée des voix, c'est bien la voix des ânes".

Upate on Amin and Ammar
|
|
This is what happened when the father does not have enough hair to do for himself, so yang jadi mangsa Amin! I was sooooo upset when they came back on Sunday afternoon. We were in Bentong (my in laws). I told Aswi to give Amin a short haircut but not totally bald and this is what Amin got. I was angry, I was furious. His birthday party is coming up and Amin is not going to look like this on his birthday party ok.
So later that day, my father in law took Amin to get another haircut... Now he looks so much better.
Ammar turned 6-months old on Sunday, 5th August, 2007. Now he can hold his own bottle for several seconds. He is 8.5kg

Dikir Barat for a great leader

Yesterday was the final day for Maxis group CEO, Dato' Jamal. The company organized a surprise farewell party for him last night at KLCC Convention Centre from 5 - 9pm. He was a great leader for this company and it was a great loss for us. But we wish him all the best and get to spend more time with his family.
From technology group, we organized a Dikir Barat for him. Lots of other groups performing for him and he was touched. There was also a surpise show by Dato Siti Nurhaliza. She sang 3 songs.
