Islam Hadhari - Principle #1

At sogo
Dear Amin,

First of all, Ibu would like to wish you a happy 10-month old!

Today, Ibu would like to elaborate more on the first principle of Islam Hadhari, which is 'faith and piety in Allah' (keimanan dan ketaqwaan kepada Allah).

One day you will grow up, becomes the eldest brother, becomes a father, becomes a leader in your workplace, becomes a leader in your community and maybe your country. Before you can lead anybody, you need to develop yourself first, to be a person with high moral and integrity. Always refer to Al-Quran and hadith as your main reference and don't just listen to anyone else's claims. It's your responsibility to understand the Quran and make it an on-going learning process throughout your life.

God's blessing is always important in whatever you do.

Al-A'raaf: 96
Quote:

Quote:

If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

Accomplishments... what's next?

Ibu little helper
New toy
Today will be Amin's last day for being a 9-month old baby. Wow, time just flies. Let's review what he has accomplished thus far:

    1. Excellent crawling skill. He's been crusing around the house. He used to crawl only from living room and straight to the kitchen. Now he knows how to detour to bedrooms and to toilet!
    2. Associate word with mental images. Everytime I said bird, he would look out the window and look at the sky. When I said cat, he would look everywhere to find a cat and when he sees one, he would stare at it. When I said fan, he would look up at the fan.
    3. Hold plastic spoon... and anything else. He can also hold his bottle when he drinks milk, but when he gets tired, he let it go and ask Ibu to hold for him.
    4. Pick up small things on the ground... and some end up in his mouth.
    5. Babble a lot, but still no specific word.
    6. Enjoy seeing himself in a mirror.
    7. Play 'peek-a-boo'. He would tilt his head a bit.
    8. Angry when take away anything from his hand without any replacement.
    9. Angry when Ibu is away from his sight.
    10. Stand and hold on things to walk. Last night I was in the kitchen, he hold on to the mini ladder and push it around and walk around the kitchen. He also holds on to the wall, tables, chairs/sofas to walk around as well.
    11. Enjoy clapping his hand.
    12. Has 2 lower teeth.
    13. Extends his arms when he wants to be picked up.

Hmm.. I think that's all I can think of... So, what's next?

What's next for baby Amin is to have a little bro or sis...
so he will have a buddy to play with...hehe...

In Memory of Arwah Tok Bah

Memory of arwah tok bah
June is father's day month and Ibu really miss Arwah Tok Bah. It's been a month since he passed away. Ibu has put together some of his pictures, so when Amin grows up, Amin can look back at these pictures. Al-fatihah...

Can you see the blue pool (lower left pic)? Well, that pool was dug by Arwah Tok Bah's two hands. He designed the layout, and every day, he would dig a little at a time. When he's satisfied with the layout, then he asked my brother (Alang Nuar) to put the blue tiles, the complete finishing. Oh, there's also a section for 'kiddie pool', so all his granchildren can visit him and play in this pool. Amin still has not gotten a chance to swim in it yet. One day Ibu will take Amin there...

Last Sunday, we went to visit a new friend, baby Luqman. Baby Luqman and mama Michele lives nearby our area. Baby Luqman is only 1 month old.

Amin has been drooling heavily since Sunday. I think his upper tooth is coming out. Everytime I give him milk, he would chew on it first and then drink the milk. He's still coughing, though. His body gets warmer at night, but no fever.

Quote:
But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed upon you, the home of the Hereafter; and forget not your portion of lawful enjoyment in this world; and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief makers, corrupters.)

mommy_d&d: oklah jugak the vcd. Amin baru 9 months, so dia suka tgk part animal farm tu je. Part fruits and planting/harvesting tu dia dah start boring and tak pay attention sangat. As he grows, maybe baru dia boleh appreciate those things, other than animals kot... Fri 2-Jun-2006 01:51

Thirsty
View all 4 photos...
Sorry for not updating Amin's pictures for quite some times. Here are some newest pics. Amin has been coughing since last week... poor guy. Yesterday his voice was almost gone, and yet, he still wanted to 'talk'. Today he's much better.

Pic taken at SF Steakhouse, KLCC last Friday night:

Now I have PS installed, but don't know how to use it... . So far, I only know how to put text, but don't know how to put several pics together...

Amin is 9 1/2 months old and he can hold his bottle... BUT... most of the time he's lazy. He just hold it for a few seconds and then he let go and know Ibu will hold for him...

Why halal and haram?

Darah
Pig
In Islam, Allah has made it clear in the Quran that some food can be consumed (halal) and some are forbidden (haram). Why is this very important? Well, here are scientific explanations. The cartoon illustrations are in Bahasa Malaysia, so I'll translate the points into English:

1. Slaughter animal from Islamic point of view.
- Muslims are not allowed to eat blood except from fish and grasshopper.
- Scientists proved that blood has a dangerious toxic chemical, uric acid.
- In human body, 98% of the uric acid is filtered by our kidney and excreted from our body.
- When an animal is slaughtered using sharp knife and with the name of Allah at the neck, all the other internal organs are not damaged. The blood will flow out quickly.
- If the organs are damaged, the animal will die very fast and thus, the blood will become thick and slowly diffuse into the meat. Hence, the meat will be poisonous from the uric acid.

Therefore, Islam places an emphasis on the slaughter of an animal to make sure all the blood come out from the body and not damaging the internal organs.

2. Pork is forbidded in Islam
- It is clearly mentioned in the Quran that Pork is haram. Even in Bible in Leviticus Chapter 11 mentioned that Pork is not allowed to be eaten and touched since it is dirty.
- Pig doesn't even have a neck to be slaughtered.
- Pig hosted all kinds of parasites.
- Pig only excreted 2% of the uric acid and the balance (98%) stays in the body/meat. Thus, making the meat not healthy to be consumed.

These are some of the miracles in the Quran, proven by many scientists from various background.

Allah loves all His creatures. He has states clearly in Quran things that are permissible and things are not permissible and each has good reasons. We just need to discover and to find the truth with our akal (brain), that Allah has given us. And yet, some people feel burden with all the restrictions.... If only they know how great Allah love is for all human kind.

Surah Al-Imrah:
Quote:

Chapter 3: Al-Imran (English Translation):
Quote:
[7] He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book; in it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are not of well-established meaning. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is not of well-established meaning. Seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its true meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.

[8] "Our Lord!" (they say), "let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.

Happy Mother's Day....

This is my first year to celebrate Mother's Day...

To all mothers, Happy Mother's Day!
To my dear mother, thank you for everything. I love you!

Quote:

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlersin
their arms, wiping up puke laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry
Kool-Aid saying, "It's okay honey, Mommy's here".

Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies
who can't be comforted. This is for all the mothers who show up at
work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains on their blouses and
diapers in their purse.

For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew
Halloween costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T.

This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see.
And the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes.

This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging
on their refrigerator doors.

And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at
football , hockey or soccer games instead of watching from the
warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see me, Mom?"
they could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and
mean it.

This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery
store and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for
ice cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten
instead, but realize how child abuse happens.

This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and
explained all about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers
who wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.

This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can
eat.

For all the mothers who read "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a
year.
And then read it again. "Just one more time."

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their
shoelaces before they started school. And for all the mothers who
opted for Velcro instead.

This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their
daughters to sink a jump shot.

This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a
little voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own
offspring are at home -- or even away at college.

This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with
stomach aches, assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only
to get calls from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please
pick them up. Right away.

This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find
the words to reach them.

For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their 14
year olds dye their hair green.

For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and
the mothers of those who did the shooting.

For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front
of their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from
school, safely.

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be
peaceful, and now pray they come home safely from a war.

What makes a good Mother anyway?
Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby,
cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time?

Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your
son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for
the very first time?

The jolt that t takes you from sleep to dread, from bed to crib at 2
A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?

The panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just
want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe again in your
home?

Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when
you hear news of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?

The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for
young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep
deprivation...

And mature mothers learning to let go.
For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.
Single mothers and married mothers.
Mothers with money, mothers without.

This is for you all. For all of us.

happy mother's day to u too....so sorry to hear about tok bah.....al-fatihah.....
hmm cd tu utk 9 mths and up...more details updated kat entry vcd tu....thanks for visiting my fp ya!
