Time flies... My boys are growing up too fast...
Let's start with Amin's development:
1. Amin is 2 years 11 months old. He's turning 3 on Aug. 9, 2008.
2. He loves 'drawing', especially drawing a police car, fire truck, train and fish. Our plain sofa now has 'patterns' on it. If I don't give him papers or books, then that's where he will do his drawing.
3. Very imaginative. Last weekend we went back to kampung Bentong but 2 of his beloved uncles were not at home. He found an old phone and he started talking to his uncles on the phone, telling them that he's back at kampung and playing, and telling other stories. We really thought he was talking to his uncles but he was just acting
4. Atok bought him a tri-cycle and he is having fun riding it. Few weeks ago, he fell in a big longkang, while trying to turn his bike. He's okay... just small bruises. But that didn't stop him from riding his bicycle again.
5. Starting going to preschool at Q-dees Setiawangsa on Monday, June 30th. There are only 6 children for 3-yo class. Every morning I dropped him at school and just stayed for 5 minutes and left him there. The first two days he was crying realy hard and wanted to come with me. Knowing him, he usually cry for a few minutes and then he will be ok and play with the others. Today, he was stil crying but he sat on his chair and didn't follow me. So he's getting better. I pick him up at noon and he would be smiling and telling me what he did that day. He even told me that he was crying in the morning and calling.. Ibu, Ayah... and then he laughed at himself..
Now, Ammar's development:
1. Ammar is 1 year 5 months. He is very active but hasn't started talking yet. He can say Ibu and Baa (caling his abang). He hasn't said ayah yet. However, he understand instruction very well.
2. He loves to follow his brother. Amin climbs, he would too... Amin dance, he dance... Amin jumps, he jumps....
3. He also likes to tease his brother. When Amin was watching his favorite tv, Ammar would go and turn off the TV. When Amin was playing with his car, Ammar would come and steal the car away... When Amin was quietly doing his own thing, Ammar would go and smack his brother... Amin got upset and start chasing Ammar and Ammar would try to run away. Amin would smack Ammar back or bite Ammar.. and Ammar would cry.. and both of them will be punished.
4. Ammar might be having a chicken pox. Took him to doctor yesterday because there were red spots on his hands and legs; however, there's none on his body.. Doc said usually it started from body. So I'm monitoring Ammar's progress. Today saw a couple of spots under his arm pits... probably it takes time to come out.
Updated: Well... it turned out Ammar didn't get a chickenpox.. coz his body and face was still clean after 7 days.. so doc said could probably be the hand, foot and mouth thingy... how did he get it in the first place??? hmmmm... so far Abang Amin ok..

Last Saturday, we went to Janda Baik. Ayah's friend has a challet/guest house at Janda Baik. It's called Zaini Guesthouse. It's owned by a couple: Budut, a local to Janda Baik and Fred, a French lady. It's a great place and I do recommend the area. Other than staying at the small chalet, you can also stay in a tent. But don't worry about the toilet. The toilet is big and most importantly, it is very clean. Yes, I did take a picture just to show you as a proof . The area is also full of green. When you step into the area, it just makes you relax and forget about your hectic life. At the entrance by the parking lot, there's a small river. The water is very cold so you probably want to wait until after 10am to dip into the water.
Fred and Budut, thank you for your hospitality. Will definitly come again. The boys really had a blast at the river even though it was very cold.

On Sunday, we took Ayah to Tony Roma's at Pavillion for his Father's Day dinner. It was a good food and we had a fun outing. Amin and Ammar were dancing and running around. Wa (Ayah's mother) came along with us as well.

Wedding of Dr Aiman and Dr Mohsien - May 25, 2008
|
|
Sunday, May 25, 2008 was my older sister's wedding, her second wedding. She has twin boys, both 16 years old, from her first marriage. She was a single mother for about 8 years until she found her soul mate, Dr. Mohsien. He is from Mauritius and he used to be her teacher back when she was studying law at UIA. After that, he went somewhere and somehow they got in touch several months ago. Now, they both are teaching at UIA.
It was a small event. Only family, relative, close friends and neighbors came to the wedding. The solemnization started at 11am and continue with lunch reception until 3pm.
Congratulations to my dear sister. Wish you all the happiness in this world. To Abg Mohsien, welcome to the family. To Lie and Mee, tak de canlah korang nak tido bawah ketiak mummy lagi... mummy dah ada bantal peluk baru
Thanks to Nina Cybercake for the lovely and delicious cuppies. ( http://zahurinina.fotopages.com)

New Job... New Challenges...
|
|
After 5 years of working with a telco company, I decided to move on to a different environment with different challenges, so on May 7th, I started working for a new company. It's a small company established in Europe but only starting in Asia. It's a bit risky but after discussing with hubby and encouragement from him, I decided to take the risk and challenge.
One thing I like about this new company, it gives me flexibility with my working hours. I can work from home when I don't have meetings with clients. I can manage my time around my boys. So, it has been 3 weeks now and still adjusting to the new environment.
On May 12 - 16, I went to the office HQ in Raunheim, Germany for my product training and to get to know the team. It's a very small town (really... nothing there), not far from Frankfurt am Main. It was spring and weather was nice. Monday,May 12 was a holiday there, so I went sight seeing. From Raunheim, I took the train to Frankfurt. When I wanted to buy the ticket, the instruction was in German so I was standing there for a couple of minutes wondering how to buy the ticket . Luckily, there was a guy closeby so I asked him to show me how to purchase a ticket. Since it was holiday, all shops were closed. Ni bukan macam malaysia, cuti pun bukak kedai... But since I did not have any intention of going shopping, it didn't matter to me. I took a boat tour of Frankfurt city.
View of Frankfurt
The office is just opposite the hotel. I met my new colleagues and they were all nice. The office environment is very relax and most of them are very young.
My team members and few more are not in the pictures:
Since I have changed my computer notebooks, I lost all my bookmarks so if your FP requires username/pwd access, please PM me with the info. Thanks

Ibu's Birthday 5.5.2008
|
|
On May 5, 2008, Ibu celebrated birthday with my 3 super heroes. We went to Alexis at Great Eastern Mall, Jln Ampang. The food was ok, but we decided to go there because the place was not crowded so the two boys can run around freely.

Tioman Trip - 23 - 26/4, 2008
|
|
This trip is a relaxing trip for Ibu and Ayah. We left the two boys with my mom and with our new maid. We stayed at Berjaya Tioman Resort for 4 days and 3 nights. It was great. Truly a relaxing break for Ibu. I have been working like crazy for the past few months and going to start a new job soon, so before I move on, this is a great trip. Thank you honey!
On the first day, we arrived around 2pm, so we had lunch and rented a bicycle to go around the resort.
On the second day, weather was not so good. It was raining all day. It was a bit gloomy in the morning and then started rain heavily towards afternoon. We went snorkeling at Pulau Renggis in the morning for about an hour. The current was very strong and coulnd't see cleary. Still, I had a great time. I had a 3-hour spa in the afternoon. Aswi, on the other hand, only got to play golf until the fourth hole because it started to rain.
On the third day, it was wasn't raining but it wasn't too hot either. After breakfast, Aswi continue with his golf. I, on the other hand, went to gym then stayed by the pool till noon. After lunch, we hit the beach, read our books and do nothing. I finished two books by Mitch Albom: Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I love the 'Tuesdays with Morrie'.
On our last day, we went another round of snorkeling. Weather was really great that day. Our flight leaves at 4pm, so we had plenty of time in the morning. This time, we went snorkeling a bit longer. Then, we stayed by the pool and had lunch and checked out at 1.30pm.
